Three Books To Read To Become a Professional Trader

People are always asking, how do you become a professional and successful trader? While there are no definitive steps and specific formulae to be a successful trader, experts have created guidelines that equip you to become one. Trading books are rich sources of knowledge for traders because it focuses on explaining what you need. Because while the internet provides a sea of information about anything on trading, a book gives you a boat to effectively navigate the sea.

Market Wizards by Jack Schwager

Market Wizards are entitled as such because it is a book that is a collection of interviews from the trading industry’s, you guessed it, market wizards. Big names such as  Paul Tudor Jones are included here. The most famous names in the history of trading are introduced, analyzed, and interviewed by Jack Schwager in his book. Getting to know about the most prominent traders is a great way to know more about the profession itself and your capabilities as a trader. It’s like a book with lessons from the greatest trading teacher’s in the world. Schwager’s book was so successful that he even made a sequel entitled “The New Market Wizards.”

The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham

This book penned by Benjamin Graham is a classic among traders as a starter book. It effectively explains one of the most basic and most popular investment strategies in the history of finance: value investing. If you don’t believe us, then believe one of the most successful investors in history: Warren Buffett. He said that this book is the best book written about investing. That’s how significant this book is.

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre

This 1932 classic is considered as the most recommended book among traders and investors. Contained in the book is the enthralling tale of Jesse Livermore, the famous stock trader considered by many as the greatest trader of all time. While the events are fictitious, the person and the lessons are not. Often pegged as a required reading for new and old traders, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is a book you’ll want to read.
